Hi! I am a dedicated teacher (mild/moderate special education credential and M.Ed with a concentration in Special Education) and Educational Therapist (AET Certified) with a deep commitment to fostering growth and confidence in my students. My love of learning and celebrating neurodiversity led me into the field of child development, earning my bachelors in Psychology and Neuroscience from UCLA. Driven by my passion for inclusive education and supporting learners with diverse needs, I furthered my education with a Masters in Teaching with a focus in special education and literacy from Relay Graduate School of Education. To bring even more to my students, I am currently pursuing a PhD at USC in the area of Occupational Science, studying sensory interventions in inclusive school settings.
For the past six years, I have served as a special education teacher in elementary inclusion settings. In this role, I have honed my abilities to provide individualized support, foster a sense of belonging, and create inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued and empowered.
I love finding creative ways to engage students in their own learning and growth. Specializing in early literacy, emotional regulation, Autism, and self-management, my approach to teaching is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a deep belief in the potential of every learner. I am committed to embracing neurodiversity and celebrating the unique strengths and talents of each student. One of my greatest joys is witnessing the transformation that occurs when a child overcomes obstacles and begins to flourish academically and emotionally. I believe in celebrating every milestone, no matter how small, and take great pride in seeing my students gain confidence in their abilities.
Through my years working with students, I have learned the importance of working closely with families to create alignment and ultimately help the student reach their full potential. Whether your child is struggling with reading comprehension, phonics, math, or emotional regulation, I am excited to provide the instruction and encouragement they need and deserve in order to succeed.
