Rylie
Educational Therapist
MA.ET
Hello, my name is Rylie! I knew from a young age that I wanted to support students with learning challenges because my brother, Zachary, is on the Autism Spectrum.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences (Speech-Language Pathology) from Cal State University, Northridge.
While completing this program, I fell in love with studying phonology, phonetics, theories of cognitive development, and literacy. During this time, I also worked as a behavioral intervention specialist and inclusive education assistant across various educational environments. Furthermore, I have my Master's of Arts in Educational Therapy, and this specialty has allowed me to develop my skill-set of remediation techniques and intervention strategies.
I have extensive experience working with individuals with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, executive functioning deficits, visual and auditory processing deficits, math difficulties, dyslexia, specific learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities such as Prader-Willi and Noonan Syndrome.
I am trained in the Wilson Reading System, Lindamood-Bell's Seeing Stars and Visualizing & Verbalizing, and also use the PRIDE Reading Program when remediating reading. I love working with my students, and providing one-to-one academic support is my passion.
