Ricky
Learning Specialist & EF Coach
M.Ed
Hi! My name is Ricky, and I am a learning specialist and executive functioning coach, as well as a credentialed teacher with over seven years of experience working with students in both U.S. and international school settings. I hold a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis on STEAM and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, I spent three years working as an ABA therapist, providing one-on-one and small-group support to students with a wide range of learning differences and behavioral needs.
I have extensive experience supporting students with ADHD, ASD, executive functioning challenges, dyslexia, processing speed difficulties, and mild learning disabilities. I truly enjoy helping students build skills in organization, task initiation, time management, planning, study skills, and confidence. My approach is strengths-based, structured, and individualized, with a strong emphasis on helping students develop independence and strategies they can carry with them across academic settings.
I especially enjoy working with upper elementary and middle school students in grades 3 through 8 who benefit from clear structure, positive reinforcement, and explicit instruction. I support reading, writing, math, homework completion, and study skills, and I work closely with families and school teams to ensure support feels consistent, aligned, and manageable for everyone involved.
Building strong, trusting relationships with students and families is at the heart of my work. I am passionate about helping learners feel capable, confident, and supported as they navigate their academic journey.
