Lydia
Educational Therapist
MA.SPED, MA.ET
Hi! My name is Lydia, and I love making learning fun for all students by focusing on their strengths and helping them become more confident in their abilities. As a native of Los Angeles, I first received my B.A. from California State University of Northridge in Child Development. I enjoyed it so much that I went on to earn my Master’s in Special Education as well as a Master’s in Educational Therapy. I also have my Teaching Credentials for K-12th grade. I have worked as a certified elementary school teacher in Los Angeles, and I have also worked as a behavioral therapist and resource teacher. However, I absolutely adore working 1:1 with students to best meet their needs.
Â
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about the accessibility of education and the arts. As an Educational Therapist, I have developed individualized educational interventions for students with learning disabilities and other learning challenges, such as dyslexia, executive functioning, low academic self-esteem, ADHD, and poor study and test-taking skills.Â

In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, being a Girl Scouts assistant at my daughter’s troop, photographing the sunset, traveling the world, and hiking.
