Kristen

Educational Therapist

MA, ET

Hi! I’m Kristen, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Special Education with an option in Educational Therapy from California State University, Northridge. I bring over a decade of experience advocating for children and families, with a strong foundation in learning differences, executive function support, and trauma-informed practices. I specialize in serving students with neurodiverse learning profiles, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, and other reading disorders, as well as students with executive functioning challenges and social-emotional struggles.

My approach is highly individualized and strengths-based—I focus on helping students understand how they learn, develop self-awareness, and build concrete strategies that foster independence and academic success. I’m committed to helping students build confidence, develop personalized systems of support, and reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom. My background in both education and nonprofit leadership enables me to work holistically with students, families, and schools to support academic and emotional growth.

Through my work in education and child welfare advocacy, I’ve become especially passionate about helping youth in foster care overcome barriers and thrive—both academically and personally.
