Darlyne
Learning Specialist & EF Coach
BA
Hi! I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida International University. I have a passion for education and over two decades of experience as an educator. My skill set includes remedial and process-based learning methodologies such as Lindamood-Bell’s Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, On Cloud Nine, and Talkies programs, as well as experience with Orton-Gillingham programming.
As a Learning Specialist, I’m experienced in interpreting educational and neuropsychological reports and implementing programming for students with learning differences. I have extensive experience supporting clients with dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD. I’m also an experienced Executive Functioning coach and help students improve study skills, time management, organization, and planning.
I work with a wide range of students, from kindergarteners to octogenarians. I support students in math through Algebra 1, elementary English through the AP level, history (World, US, European History through AP), AP Psychology, ESL, grammar, and writing. I’m also comfortable supporting students in AP Art History, philosophy, sociology, elementary science, biology, and government.
In addition to my 1:1 sessions, I enjoy yoga (I’m an advanced certified yoga instructor), hiking, reading, writing, and meditation.
