Catherine
Learning and Reading Specialist & Executive Functioning Coach
PhD, CCC-SLP
As an educator and clinician specializing in executive function coaching, dyslexia, auditory processing, social communication, and other language-based learning disabilities, I have dedicated my clinical teaching career to advancing communication development in the students I serve.
In my work in both private practice and school settings providing 1:1, small group, and class-wide intervention and assessments and managing the learning plans of students in kindergarten through 12th grade, I see rapid progress by individualizing the instruction to use students’ strengths and develop their weaker-by-comparison language skills.
As a clinically trained speech pathologist and former consultant for Lindamood-Bell Learning processes, I’m well-versed in multi-sensory, explicit approaches for remediating written language disorders. With a PhD from Florida State University and the Florida Center for Reading Research, I’ve been trained by the authors of, and grounded in, the research that we now call the science of reading.
With over 100 hours of training in executive function development, I’m committed to helping each student excel in learning, recover their confidence, and discover their innate abilities as competent learners and communicators.
