Hi, I’m Aisha. I have been working in the field of Education since 1995, having taught elementary, middle, high school, and adults. I have worked as an Academic Instructor, Teacher, Educational Support Specialist, Educational Advisor, Resource Specialist, Counselor, Case Manager, Qualified Mental Retardation Professional, and Educational Therapist. I earned my AA in Behavioral and Social Sciences, my AA in Psychology, my AA in Social Justice, and my Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Communications and Ethnic Studies from California State University, Fullerton, in 2004. In 2010, I obtained my Masters of Arts in Teaching, specializing in Teaching and Learning in a Global Society, from National University.
Â
Additionally, I hold a clear California Teaching Credential in Adult Education, from the University of San Diego, and a post-Master's certificate in Educational Therapy, which I earned from the University California at Riverside. In addition to working as an Educational Therapist at Illuminate, I also work as an Educational Therapist at a private school serving school-aged students with learning differences and those diagnosed with special needs.
Â
My focus and goal is to increase self-advocacy and support educational programs that empower people who are affected by unequal and inequitable boundaries.
